Vocabulary for 12th grade (Professions/interview follow up)



The following vocabulary words were discussed in class, make sure you have the correct meaning for each one of them:

Flaw- an imperfection,mark,fault.

Reject- to dismiss,or refuse something or someone.

Task- work to be done.

Standard- expected or usual.

Determine-to find out or decide.

Orient- to focus on or position toward something.

Select- a choice.

Screen- investigating or evaluating something.

Investigate- an examination of something.

Look-an in depth look at something ,usually from a perspective that is unknown or restricted to most people.

The following test will be turned in on 5th march 2020:  I .Read the following story and give five(5) examples of cause and effect. (2 pts. each) At school last week, I sat next to a girl who was coughing. Since it’s winter, everyone coughs and we cover our mouths. This helps us avoid spreading germs.  Good evening students, As previously discussed, I want you to research on the use of facial gestures in order to conduct investigations (police,psychologically,etc.) Be ready to report: * Title of investigation * How the study of facial gestures help on the investigation? 7th grade: Sensory Language and Brainstorming

Dear 7th graders: We have been discussing the topic of Sensory Language and Brainstorming. As a summary and reminder : Sensory Language - is a language that connects to the five senses(sight,sound,smell,taste,touch) to create an image or description. Task #1: You will write five sentences using each sensory image. (50 pts.)  Examples: 1. Manuel likes big Red apples. (visual) 2. Stella's hair is very soft. (tactile) 3.
