  1. Hola es para saber si está historia de superación de un atleta puede ser

    Wilma Rudolph

One of the most paradigmatic was the case of Wilma Rudolph, who managed to overcome all the obstacles that life put her in order to become a reference. It is the story of how with courage and determination dream goals can be achieved.

Rudolph hailed from a humble family in the southern Sedation of the USA and was the twentieth of 22 siblings. His life was marked by a constant fight against sexism, racism, poverty, a teenage pregnancy and diseases such as scarlet fever, pneumonia and polio that paralyzed his leg, which prevented him from walking until he was 11 years old. .

Rudolph acknowledged that her doctor told her that she would never walk again but her mother told her otherwise and that she believed her mother. Once he recovered, he did not stop his career until he decided to retire.

She will always be remembered for her three golds in Rome and for being the first American athlete to win three Olympic golds in athletics.

She commented in her day: “Winning is great, sure, but if you really are going to do something in this life, the secret is learning to lose. No one manages to be undefeated all the time.

Currently we have several athletes who are fighting at the highest level and who have been through adversity. Wagner Domingos and Gabrielle Grunewald are a clear example of that class of athletes who are not great for the victories they have achieved, but for being an example of improvement. Both have overcome cancer and returned to competition after fighting for their lives.
